Never went into this place just off Pulteney Bridge, I have to say - but empty now, nonetheless

Sofa And Sofabed Company, Lansdown Road

A fairly high end sofa shop that used to be sited in this slightly out of the way location up Lansdown Road. The shop has relocated to a premises on Walcot St, but the old shop is still empty.

Newsagent on Westgate Street

This was a cracking little newsagent that sold a great range of international newspapers - one of the few places in Bath where one could buy El Pais...

Mary Shaw Studio

A small art gallery on Trim St

Margarets Buildings

A while back there was a lot of turnover on Margarets Buildings and some empty shops. I think this is the only vacancy right now, which used to be Just Labels.

Milsom Place

Lots of empty space in the the newly renovated Milsom Place. I think this used to be Caracalla Bagaglio who make very nice motor racing-themed leather luggage. I saw their stuff at Badminton last year when they had a stall and it was superb.

Aurea's All Asian Store on Julian Road

It was a shame this one closed - lovely selection of Asian foods and run by a very nice Filipino lady. I do wonder if the area just wasn't 'studenty' enough for it to survive

Blackstones's Kitchen on Trim St

This one has been empty for months. Such a shame; not only did it sell the finest takeaway bacon sandwich I've ever had but the people running it were lovely, I am told.

Formerly Blue Velvet Lighting - at least this one has moved rather than gone bankrupt
